Our Story

In 2014, my older sister Batool was diagnosed with celiac disease, a chronic immune disorder that is triggered by the consumption of gluten. Upon transitioning into a gluten-free diet, Batool was forced to give up many of the beloved Pakistani foods she grew up eating on a daily basis. It was her desire to once again enjoy our culture’s bountiful cuisine that inspired the creation of Saddar Town-named after the neighborhood in Karachi our family hails from.

Building Saddar Town has been a labor of love. After months of tireless recipe development, I am proud to bring you a product that's the first of its kind: a traditional tandoor cooked naan that's free of gluten, dairy, eggs, and soy. Unlike most pre-packaged flatbreads, ours is authentically made with simple ingredients you can actually feel good about. Most importantly, it's sister approved!

I hope you enjoy this delicious and healthy alternative to the flatbread we all know and love.

With Love,
Arwa
